Terms and Conditions of Hire
The following terms and conditions are to be applied to all contracts between Gee-Force Northern Ltd (The Company) and their customer (The Client) for the hire of hydraulic bolt tightening equipment and associated accessories (The Equipment).
Hire Rates
The Company will charge a pre-agreed non-negotiable daily rate for The Equipment. Invoices will be raised either at the end of each calendar month during which The Equipment is on hire and/or at the end of the hire period.
Delivery
The Equipment can either be delivered to The Client by The Company or collected from The Company by The Client. Delivery charges will be made if The Equipment is delivered to The Client by The Company.
Hire Period
The hire rate will be charged from the day after dispatch from The Company until the day before return of the goods to The Company. This will allow one day without charge to The Client at either end of the hire period to allow for transit. The hire period does not exclude weekends. During the hire period The Equipment remains the property of The Company.
Safety
It is the responsibility of The Client to ensure only suitably qualified personnel operate The Equipment and safe working practices are followed at all times. The Company cannot be held responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect use of The Equipment or operation by unqualified personnel.
Packaging
The Equipment is supplied in custom made wooden crates. It is the responsibility of The Client to return The Equipment in the same packaging. If the packaging is not returned a charge of £50.00 per crate will be made to The Client.
Off-Hire
The Client may contact The Company to off-hire The Equipment whilst still on site. If however The Equipment is not available to be collected by or returned to The Company within two days of off-hire further daily hire charges at the originally agreed rate will be made.
Collection
The Equipment can either be collected from The Client by the Company or returned by The Client to The Company. Collection charges will be made if The Equipment is collected from The Client by The Company.
Damage/Loss
The Company accepts that The Equipment can be damaged during operation due to the arduous conditions in which it is often used. There will be no charges made to The Client for damage or wear and tear caused by normal use of The Equipment. If The Equipment is badly damaged and the damage is deemed to be due to misuse The Client will be liable for the cost of repair. If The Equipment is lost by The Client during the hire period The Client will be liable for the replacement cost for new equipment.
